Dont know what strings Im looking for...

I have a P-bass and like the big boomy lows, with lots of mids and decent highs. So far I have use Slinkys (sorry guys but I hated them), right not Im using some DR lowriders, and have a pack of black beauties for when those wear out.

I really like the lowriders, when I first put them on and hit the E string it was a huge change. What I dont like though is how tight they are, sometimes its a bit hard to fret. Maybe DR hi-beams are what I am looking for? Any suggestions would be nice.

What gauge of Lo-Riders are you using now? The stainless steel Lo-Riders are excellent strings IMO for a huge bottom and bright but not piercing high end. Perhaps a gauge change or a slightly lower action might help. To me, each of the DR string types are very unique and operate within specific frequencies.
