| double ball end string length?

I'm planning to make a new head clamp for my headless bass. How long are double ball end strings? I tried to find the measure from string manufacturer's sites but no luck so far. Distance between centers of the balls is what I'm looking for.
edit: I found a length of 920mm from Optima strings. Is this some kind of a standard?
