Downtuning A D G C

Sign in to disble this ad
I want to learn "Sad But True" by Metallica and I am having trouble downtuning...

The Sheet music says 4:A 3: D 2:G 1:C

I never downtune, I always stay with my EADG tuning

Any advice?

1. get a five string set
2. take the bottom 4 (BEAD) and out on bass
3. tune to ADGC
4. make truss and/or bridge adjustments (if any)
5. Play
6. ????
7. PROFIT.

uh. Bridge adjustments will be necessary. I talked to the bass player of Murder by death and he plays G#DBC (or something like that) strung 110 - 50. Nuts.
