I just installed a set of DR Black Beauties on my Fender Zone 5-string and they sound really amazing. Very little finger noise and good sustain. Good low end punch.
I had Ken Smith Stainless Steel Round Wounds which were very good but I like the low end better with the DRs. They were on the bass for about 3 months.
Of course, it could just be that they are new strings! |
