DR black beauties, what other DRs are similar?

Hey all, I'm trying to figure out what DR strings would give me the closest sound and feel of the black beauties without being so, uhm, black. Haha. I put BB's on my washburn and love the tone and feel, but they just don't look good on my traben phoenix. I know I know, I should care more about sound than looks, but I want to see if there's something else that fits the bill. All the different string choices are quite overwhelming for a newbie. Thanks in advance!

Silver Stars are the exact same string with a clear coating instead of black.

Hi-Beams are similar strings with no coating at all.

Yep, they have many colors available, 'Black Beauty' just being one of them. They even have glow in the dark Neons...maybe they would look better?

I'm not so sure glow in the dark neons are quite my style. I really am impressed with the DR coated strings though, so much better than the ghs boomers and d'addarios I've tried!

If you have the red traben Phoenix, get the dr red devils, they look so Badass on dark red basses with rosewood boards, that's what I use on my Schecter elite

Yep I've got the red Phoenix. And I've ordered a set of red devils and silverstars just in case I don't dig it.
