DR Coated Strings

Sign in to disble this ad
I got a pack of red devils DR coated string as a present last october, and to my dismay the a string broke a couple of weeks ago. Has anyone else had any similar experiences with these strings? or have I just got unlucky. I hope it's not the string quality because they just look so awesome.

Had a set on my bass for a year, no problems so likely just bad luck for you.

customer service

Contact customer service with a respectful request for a replacement. You might be surprised.

I have a similar experience with DR coated strings as Bart1966 above. I had them on for almost a full year and just replaced them with the same. Excellent sounding (and looking) strings, but a little pricey, IMO.

I think these are some of the best strings on the market. They are a little pricey, but they stay sounding good for freaking ever.

I'm a big fan of them, never had one break. That's out of about 4 bass sets and 6 guitar sets.

The acoustic guitar ones don't sound as good to me as Elixirs, but the electric guitar and bass strings are great. I'm currently trying some Warwick EMPs (similar idea, just not coloured) and they're decent too ... but ask me in a few months!

Just got a response from DR, they apologised and said that they'd send me a replacement string. Can't argue with that

I love their strings (see profile pic), have never had one break, and have had great customer service from them (this was regarding an off-color string a coupla years ago).
