DR coated strings(neon, black beauties, etc.) for an acoustic bass

I've just purchased a Fender BG-31 Acoustic Bass and I'm looking at changing the strings. Just wondering if anyone has tried any of the DR coated strings on an acoustic bass.
I've got a set of Black Beauties and a set of Neon Orange strings sitting on a shelf just waiting to be used. The Neons would pop on this bass since it is black. I'd love the look but was just wondering about the sound.

I put a set of neons on my squier jag... I'm not crazy about them - I slide a lot and they're rather slick - so I burn my little fingers when I slide hard. My son uses the same bass for jazz band and pep band and likes them a lot. I like the sound, but not the feel.

Isn't the Squier Jag an electric bass? I use DR Black Beauties which have the same coating as the Neons so I already know how they feel. The question is....How do they sound on an Acoustic bass.
