DR Coated strings on a P Bass..Thoughts?

I'm kinda tired of flats on my pbass and want to try something different. I like DR Black Beauties on another bass I have and am thinking of going that route. This is on a cheapie silvertone revolver but I still want a decent sound. Anyone use any of the DR coated strings on a precision?

Probably helps tame the brightness a bit.

Yep love 'em. I'll only use those on my pbass from now on.

Probably the direction I'm gonna go...I've liked them in all other occurrences, just thought I'd ask.

I had Black Beauties on my maple necked P/J, great sound but a little too floppy for me. I also had really good results with a set of Bootzillas.

I liked the sound, but because the coating is not a conductive material, I had interference hum from hell. They lasted all of twenty minutes of playing. Those were the DR Red Devils, K3 coating. I'll sell them to you cheap if you want them!

I'm going to try GHS Precision Flats next.
