DR flatwound bass strings med guage 45-65-85-105

any one play these on a p bass with a rosewood board? Thinking of trying these on my Squier CV Fiesta Red P bass.
and putting nickel LO-Riders med on my flame maple neck p style.

I want to feel settled on strings

I use them on most of my basses, including my Kubicki's. I like the sound and feel. I'm not sure if they really out do a good set of LaBellas but for me they are almost identical and probably if I could afford it I'd have all mine strung with Thomastik-Infeld jazz flats, but the DR is number two.

I also helps that they are right here in NJ, so if I need to I can actually visit the guys in the plant.

Lakland Joe Osborn strings are made by GHS, so they are next. I would put Chromes last. They are good strings for the price but I find them not as "mojo" as the DR.

Like with most gear, you're just gonna have to try them to see if they're right for you.

I was given a free set of the DR's, put them on a 50's classic P. I was disappointed with the DR's. I thought they sounded dull and one-dimensional.

Personal taste is everything. I much prefer TI, LaBella Deep Talkin's, D'A Chromes, and use them all.

Thanks guys, I keep getting these thoughts in my head of other strings will be better then the chromes 105,80,65,45's I have on my CV Squier P bass and played the bass as is today on practice amp and my GK NEO combo 112 and . . .

LOVE IT, LOVE IT, it's sweet sounding feeling, even tension, even sound all around! Now I just have to stop contemplating any changes!
