DR Lo-riders... tight or loose ?

Sign in to disble this ad
So.. i'm looking at DR lo-riders for my 35" bass..
the Lo-riders are the only strings that come close to the devine Richard Cocco strings...

but i was wondering.. are they tight or loose ?

I mean.. Warwick red labels are REAL loose.. they get floppy real quick, but Cocco's are fairly tight..

how are DR's ?

I use Lo-Riders exclusively - I think you'll find they're pretty tight.

hey alan.. you play them on a 35" too ?

coz on a 35" the tension is always a little higher..

Both - I have 'em on my 55-94 (35") and on my MIM Active Jazz (34"). I don't own a 34" five-string.

I did use them on my SR406 (34" six-string) and they firmed things up pretty well but I think the SR406 has a little bit stiffer neck than most lower-end Soundgears. I don't have the SR406 anymore, though.

Back to the 35" - on my Lakland they're pretty tight. The 55-94 has a pretty stable neck - they're not floppy at all.

I agree with allan. They're pretty tight. I've used them on a 34" scale Fender 5-string.
