DR Long Necks fit on Roscoe Beck V?
 

I just took delivery of my brand-spanking-new RBV today (yay), and the first order of business (more or less) is getting some fresh strings on it (I'll be taking the whole thing apart for a thorough cleaning, and to see if I can figure out where that ground hum is coming from).

Anyway, I've had DR Longnecks on a couple of 35" 5-string basses, and like 'em a lot. What I want to know, very specifically, is: Do they fit on the RBV? I'm thinking they'd definitely have to go through the body to keep the top winding in the nut, but I'm concerned that, even then, because it's a 34" scale, the top winding for the B might fall short of the nut, in which case the string will sit too low.

So, anyone out there using DR LongNecks on a RoscoeBeck 5, and can you confirm that they will fit? Thanks,

Long necks are 38" from ball end to taper.
