Lo-Riders are roundwound and constructed on a hexagonal core. They are available in stainless or nickel.

Nickel strings in general are going to produce a less bright tone. Some nickel strings are going to be brighter than others.

But Stainless are going to have more of a twang / bite to the tone than Nickel.

DR calls them "compression wound". They have a round outer wire wound at a higher-than-regular tension around a hexagonal core wire, which DR claims crams more metal into a given diameter. Perhaps the main reason they're so high tension. They're my all time favorite roundwound.

I was thinking of putting Lo-Riders on my Fernandes Tremor Deluxe 5 strings bass. Are they good for fingerstyle ? Any growl?

They've got growl, I liked Fat Beams for growl though. If you're not gonna go with Circle K that is.
