DR peacock strings questions

i saw a pic of them on here yesterday and they look cool, does anybody got any thoughts on them? and do they offer a flat wound version?

I got them for super cheap at GC 2 years ago. $20 for 2 pairs. They matched my bass at the time.

As for sound....I like Sun Beams better. The Peacocks were brighter than the Beams.

IIRC the colored DR bass strings are basically coated Hi Beams (stainless). I like them once they lose the new string zing. They are definitely brighter than Sun Beams but they're deeper too (typical of nickle vs. SS).

I don't belive DR offers and colored flats.
