Had Neon Yellows on my Schecter C4, Antique Amber. Looked, felt, and PLAYED AWESOME!!!! Fell in love!!! Of course I later cheated on my neons with some D'addario Chrome Flats and fell even MORE in love. Both great strings!

It really depends on how often you play and how agressive you are when you play. 7 months seems like a long time. I usually change strings about once a month, sometimes more often if I am playing a lot. The longest I go is 2 months. I used DR for years and never broke a string. I switched to Curt Managan after I became a sponsored artist with them and have been very happy with the tone and quality.

I've been using DR Neon yellows for about a year now. My D string broke after 4 months, but my bridge had a burr. My current set have seen a lot of gigs, no problems. And I play hard and with a 1.5 pick! Starting to lose a little bit of coating, but nothing major! They look great on my black bass...I actually went out and bought a black light to put on stage for gigs. Tons of compliments.

I've had a set of Fat Beams on my bass for over year in the past. They still sounded and felt good, even after all that time, that included gigs and regular rehearsals twice a week.

I use green Neons now (got them as a lark, turned out, they sound and feel perfect to me, and have become my "go to" strings now!). They last for months.

Great strings, and company to work with

Cheers!

I had Sunbeams on for 6+ months and played them nonstop. I have BB's on now and love them. I will only play them on my 72 Pbass period, a perfect match on that bass.

The Sunbeams on my fretless Lakland 4-94 have been on her since July of 2009.

About 4 months was the longest I've gone on a set. Once on a set of Sunbeams and the other Fat Beams. Usually 2 months though.

Seems like strings last me longer in the winter months. I guess because my hands are dryer?

Back before I 'knew better' I used to rarely change strings. I probably used 2-3 sets of hi-beams for the entire first decade I played. I was too busy playing in bands to think about it .

Now that I have nothing better to do I change strings every day chasing the right tone

I usually go 4-6 months on a set. Usually Fatbeams or Hi-Beams.
The set of Black Beauties I had lasted 9 months.
