dr strings, yes another boring question.

thinking about getting some red devils, BUT

they seem very expensive, so i was wondering, are they worth it in comparison to just changing your strings?

a good set of strings here cost mabey about £15-£20.00

red devils are about £40.00

so thats about 2 string changes, do they last for the same ammount of time 2 sets of normal strings would? longer mabey?

otherwise i dont see the point in paying SO much for a set of strings.

No, I have played a few sets of black beauties, and I have found that they do not last any longer than a regular set of strings if you like that nice bright stainless steel sound. I feel that DR Hi-Beams have a longer lasting bright stainless sound than their colored strings.

Do you mean grippy to your fingers? I've found that Hi-Beams don't rip the hell out of your fingertips like Rotosounds do.
