Sunbams vs. Lo-riders

Sign in to disble this ad
Hi. I have a problem. I play mostly slap as well as other things.
Can anyone tell me what is better for slap Sunbams or Lo-riders.
I know that Sunbams are Nickel Plated Round Core and Lo-riders are Stainless Steel Hex Core strings. Here on DR page they say that Lo-riders are for slap, pop and tapping. Many people here said that Sunbeams are the best, but what is better Steel or Nickel???

"Growly Nickels??" PLUG

Hey everyone, check out my comparitive review of about 5 strings under "Growly Nickels?" - I put some effort into it, but noticed not too many people checking it out.

But anyway, I didn't like DR Sunbeams much, I found them to have little bottom and very bright.

That does not help me if i want to buy 10 packs of strings from USA. So i have to be careful of what to buy, cause they don't sell DR in our country.
Is there ANYBODY who can give me an answer???

Last weekend I put sunbeams on my Stingray. Its a great tone, almost piano like clarity. Not what I expected my Stingray to sound like, but I like it a lot. A nice mellow tone, with a nice slap tone, and I can't really slap.
