DR Sunbeams vs. Fat Beams

I've been using the Fat Beams for a while now. They seem warm for a SS string and have a nice low mid thump to them. I used Sunbeams on another bass a while back and remember them as being bright and thin sounding - especially the G string which seemed like it had no fundamental at all - it was all zing and overtones. I'm wondering if maybe I got a bad string after reading posts about the warmth of Sunbeams. I'm thinking of trying these again.

Has anyone compared these two?

I find sunbeams to be thinner and more nasal and "boxy" sounding than fatbeams. The fatbeams are the brightest though, but still have more fundamental.
