Which DR on Yamaha?

I don't know if this belongs here, but I wanted to get some opinions on what type of DR strings I should use on a Yamaha RBX 765A. I want a gospel thump that is good for slapping and very growly/thumpy for fingerstyle. Any help you can give would be great. I am thinking about either the Fat-Beams or the LoRiders, but I will take any suggestions.

Fat beams are a great string, but can be a bit zingy untill they break in. It sounds like the Lo Riders may be a good first choice for you to try.

Probably LoRiders for you. I have Highbeams on both my Yamahas.

I'd go with SS Lo-Riders. MTD strings might also fit what you're looking for.

I like DR Hi-Beams for fingerstyle, but they're not very good for slap. I would go with Lo-Riders.

I like the nickel Lo-Riders the best. The High Beams are too loose feeling and cold sounding to me. I like the warm sound of nickel as far as roundwounds are concerned.

I have nickel Lo-Riders on my RBX775 and they have a nice warm tone on it. They have a little more tension than stock strings which helps keep the "B" from being too floppy.
