I wanna try 0.95 strings, but I play a lot with drop D. Can you drop a 0.95 to D?

u can.. if your action is high.. it should increase the tension.. but take note that lighter strings are floppy..

I tried D-standard with 0.95, and I thought it sucked pretty bad. Strings were flopping around, and I had to play with a softer touch to keep it from sounding out of tune. Personally, I'd go with .105, but if you really want to know if 0.95 works for you, just try it out. It's really the only way to know for sure.

if you want a light set.. you can use a set of 40-60- 75 then 105 on the E string if drop D is your bag..

I've done it in a pinch, but like the rest said, it can be quite floppy and not very distinct. Best to go with a .105 for the drop D, but if you have a very high tensioned .100 or .102 or so you can get away with it.

I'd go with a .110 personally. A .095 is sure to be way too loose.
