I just found my winning combination!

I'm using D'Addario flats, in case anyone was wondering.

Agressive picking? You should switch to nickel rounds, you would like the tone and you won't bruise up your frets (most flats are stainless)!

Flats will last forever with no change to your frets, that is part of the reason they are awesome. Enjoy your set-up and dominate! I use it too...

A thick pick + nickel rounds + overdrive rocks! I've never tried flats though. The next combo is going to be the above on a fretless.
