DR's on Alembic

I have taken the plunge and tried out the DR High Beams on my Europa. They sound amazing, however.....
The tension seems to be way too tight for what I am used to, I guess due to the fact that the bass is 35" scale?
Does anyone have any recommendations given that I like the sound of the DR's but not the tension?

i played my friends europa with DRs and it rocked the house. he wasn't the nicest guy though. he was a bit of a smart arse
but seriously DR high beams are meant for 35" basses
