the low B on my ovation just doesnt cut it, so i barely use it (besides, as you can see it doesnt even fit in the bridge). I think i'd be better off with a high C.....any suggested brands and types of string sets?

Hi,

I've strung my Ovation Celebrity Deluxe up E-A-D-G-C using Thomastik Acousticore strings. You can buy 6 string sets, and then have the choice of either B to G or E to C. The Thomastik B string is a very light guage so that might fit better than say a 130 guage.

The strings don't have a lot of unplugged output - for that I'd recommend something like Elixirs, as used on Tacoma's - but they sound great, even better when plugged in, may help with any intonation problems.

Expensive, yes. But worth every penny.
