E STRING HELP!

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello, i recently bought an Ibanez gsr180, and i have noticed that although it is definately in tune, the E string seems alot looser than the rest. Is this a common thing with all bass guitars or is there something wrong with my bass?

Thanks
Owen

If its in tune and plays well dont worry about it. I would put a fresh set on it give it a set up and see.

Yes the E string is usally slack compared to the other strings very noticably

like wise you may find the G string very tight

thats why i use rotosounds as they have a thicker E but i use Billy Sheehans strings =D

cuz i love him!

jokes

they have a very even tension over all strings

It's called E-ligamen hypotensionus Ibanezus and there's no known cure.
