EB Hybrid Slinky vs DA Semi Rounded

Hi, I got Slinkies (orange ones) on my Squier CV and i want to switch to half rounded D'Addarios (ENR71). Does anyone know sound and tension difference on these? Does half rounded cause less fret wear? I use to play almost every day for about 2 hrs, and now while using Slinkies i got scratch marks on frets. Not big but noticeable.

ANY different set will have either higher or lower tension. It's always best to have the bass "set-up" when changing brand/gauge strings.
