EB strings for Gibson G-3 too short?

Sign in to disble this ad
I am currently looking for a new set of strings for my Gibson Grabber G-3, to replace the current Hi-beams. I used to have a Gibson Ripper which I once tried to put a set of long-scale D'addario strings on, which ended up being to short because the string tapered off before reaching past the nut. Buying the super long-scale fixes this problem.

I am going to try Ernie Balls on the G-3 but am afraid they could be too short for the G-3. Has anybody tried putting EBs on a G-3 before? and did they fit?
