| | | | Well, it makes sense since titanium is anti-allergic and corrosion proof.

| | | | I've emailed every EBS dealer I could find regarding these strings. I tried to contact EBS directly, but I never heard back from them. Bass Central was trying to look into it for me, but I haven't heard from them in a while.
I really want to try these strings!
I'll keep you posted.

| | Fredalicious | | Join Date: Apr 2002 Location: Chicago, Illinois | | they're titanium nickel... i would imagine that there's about 1 titanium part for every 1,000,000 nickel parts... besides, is titanium musical? lord knows my golf clubs don't sound very good (of course, that probably has a lot more to do with me than their chemical makeup...)

Sounds like another marketing ploy to me. | My thought too when I realized it was "titanium nickel" which probably means just enough titanium for a name, as a marketing ploy.

It does corrode.Whats strange about the EBS statement is they claim 'more mass". Titanium is lighter than steel,so it has to be a mix of nickle and titanium in the coating over steel windings.Might be worth looking into.

Black strings sound better though. |

Pink ones pull in the groupies.
Green ones taste like peppermint.
Clear ones are just a gimmick.

And I would love the feel of titanium on a pair of strings, I have a ring made out of titanium and it's quite nice. And titanium isn't THAT expensive that wouldn't be impossible to coat the strings for a reasonable price.
