hey,
i did a search and didnt see anything. I was wondering if a set of ernie ball regular slinkys for example would sound different than a set of bronze acoustic strings. would it affect the volume overall?
thanks in advance,

| | My favorite songs were never heard on the radio | | Join Date: Sep 2006 Location: Tulsa, OK | | | I've tried this on an acoustic guitar (don't own an AB). What you get is a much brighter tone, almost tinny. I personally didn't like it, but some people do it. |

| | | | I put cheap fender electric bass strings onto an acoustic. the main diff I found was that the brass strings sounder a lot brighter, whereas the electric strings had kind of a lower tone. The volume was also markedly different, with the brass strings much louder. in saying that you will hear the electric strings, they're still much louder on an acoustic than playing your electric unplugged |

I believe that the Tacoma's are solid top, back and sides, and therefore wouldn't have the exact effect, but fairly similar. Give it a try!
