| Elixir Nanoweb vs Optima 24k Gold

I've been a faithful Elixir user for a couple of years now and it's time for me to buy new strings. I've heard lots of good reviews about Optima golds, but I was wondering how they sound in comparison to Elixir Nanowebs. I don't have any way to try the Optimas before I drop $50 on a set, so any help would be appreciated. |
