ernie ball hybrid slinky bass nickel vs. d'addario exl170

My guitar tech (Paul Iverson) votes for the EB's and a bass friend who knows gear/strings really well votes for the D'Addario's, but I haven't tried either and based on their descriptions, can't tell any difference.

It's for a Geddy Lee Jazz...

Any ideas?

Thanks

HIGHLY subjective topic. Why not buy a set of each and decide for yourself

For nickels I like Rotosounds (I think opinions will vary wildly and there will be no single answer that works for everybody).

You already had a thread opn for this? which strings on your Geddy Lee?

yep, sounds like the way to go since they both seem similar and it's just going to be up to my likes

Exactly, but fwiw, aside from Roto's, I like the Slinky's best.
