ernie ball stainless strings?

Sign in to disble this ad
Has anyone tried these? I'm currently searching for a new set of strings. Used EB nickels for quite a while but looking for something a little brighter. Tried DR fatbeams, but couldn't get any consistency. They sounded great new but one set would last a month then the next set would die in just a few days. Right looking at either a brighter than Ernie ball nickel, or a more consistent ss string. Suggestions please!? Gonna try EB stainless and D'addario prosteels next.

D'Addario prosteels are great. I used those during the recording of our bands first record. With about 4-5 hours of playtime per day, a set would last close to a week, and for recording standards of brightness, that ain't bad.

I also have a set of EB Hybrids on a bass of mine and its been two weeks including sweaty practices everyday and a show, and they still sound great. They have dulled down a little bit, but still have more than enough brightness to cut through a mix against 2 full stacks. This is only my first set though, so can't speak of consistency..
