Which ernie ball's

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm replacing my strings for the first time because im sick of those stock fenders :nono:

Anyway i definitely want ernie ball's cuz i luv that brand, ive heard lots of good things about theyre bass strings and lastly, its pimp to match the rest of the accesories on my bass. However i just dont know which Ernie Ball's i want to get that sound i have in my head.

I play in a punk/party garage band. The sound i like is a nice "kind of" metallic ring and feel and bright while still retaining a low end punch. Actually i'd rather a punch but if its posible to get brightness and punch its cool. PLEASE HELP THANKS

I've never tried them, but Greg from Ernie Ball customer service recommends the Hybrid sets for punk. Let me know how that works out.

Sean

EDIT: You're probably gonna want Stainless Steel rather than Nickel for a brighter sound. So try these: http://www.juststrings.com/ebl-2843.html

Just try some Hybrid Slinkys. Balanced tone, balanced feel ... love those strings for pick and fingerstyle.

And they're cheap!

I use the Hybrid slinkys on all my basses (stingrays/ washburn XB920) and I love the sound I'm getting from my stuff. I'm doing street punk stuff with one guitar and these strings defenitely rip it up live.

heres a link of my Band www.good-fight.com/

the MP3's where rough digital recordings from the garage and the bass was set for a live sound which was too much bass for recording.
