Hey everyone!
It just struck me that having a "35-scale bass poses a couple of challenges when looking for strings. I don't wanna buy strings that are too long concerning tapering at the tuner, but much less do I want to buy strings that taper before the nut! Hence, to help everyone out, I thought that it'd be helpful to know exactly what strings fit what basses! I'll start out:
My bass is a "35 Ibanez BTB555, and here is a list of strings I've used that fit it;
- DR Loriders (no issue)
- Elixirs standard longscale (no issue)
- GHS Bass boomers standard long scale (got a few millimeters to spare)
- D'Addario nickel roundwounds standard long scale (string starts to taper just in the middle of the nut - no impact however!) |
