Extra Long Scale 6 string set?

Sign in to disble this ad
I'm desperately searching for the exact strings on my bass right now, but I'm open to suggestion if these remain unknown.

Currently on the bass is a 6 string set that has black threading at the top and copper colored bearings at the bridge section of the string.

The guages are:

B - .125"
E - .105"
A - .085"
D - oops forgot to measure this one, i'd guess .065"
G - .045"
C - .025"

Any and all help is more than appreciated. This bass has a 36" scale so the strings need to accomodate the long scale.

Sound like La Bella's to me. The steel LB's I had were black silk with copper balls.

Thanks for the tip MTcell! when i called juststrings, the only suggestions they offered were La Bella's and tomastiks. is there way to distignuish if the string is stainless stell or not? what other things can i figure out about the strings by looking at them?

Usually steel strings will feel rougher and sound brighter than nickels. Might be best to contact the maker or previous owner of the bass to see what they are.
