Faster Pick Players... do you reccomend heavyer or lighter strings ?

It depends on your personal touch. Do you hit the strings hard? You may break strings from time to time if you go too light. Plus, the harder you hit 'em, the more movement they'll have, and that means notes that start out sharp before mellowing to the correct note. I use .45 - .105 and they work fine. I play with a pick, and I've been known to beat the snot out of my basses.
