Fender 7250MH - Anyone?

Sign in to disble this ad
I've used Fender 7250M gauge (.45-.105), but I found the 7250ML gauge (.45-.100) to be a tad more balanced, but I'm still feeling out the lighter gauge...

Wondering if the 7250MH (.50-.105) may be the winning gauge for me, but I'm a little skepticle now on them 'cause I'm not finding much info from anyone using these here.

If you have tried these (MH), what's your experience with them?

These would be going on a '77 Fender Precision.

Apparently not a popular string.. lol - I may just keep the ML's on there, and some day try the MH if I ever feel like tinkering.

Thanks.

My favorite string for P bass... richest tone...

7250M or 7250ML need a lot more tone knob ratcheting to my ears. 7250MH sound great with tone/vol at 10.

7250HM or 7250MH - whatever the model name is.. 50-105...

the slightly bigger G and D strings sound fuller but not "too" fat and thick.

Paul Jackson played a .050 G string and after comparing .045 and .050 I can see why he liked 'em :-)

I recently installed my first set of Fender roundwound strings on a MIJ Jazz Bass. I got 7250ML 0.40-100 and I really like them. Rich tone, not overly bright and nice smooth feel. Next time I'm gonna get 45-100 (7250 MH).

There have been some discussion lately that Fender strings have changed and are now made with colored ball ends. Mine are the old ones with the black silk and only yellow ball ends. They are also hex core.
