So the ML is going to be even stiffer. They had great tone though, I thought they were good strings and they are easier to find than some of the other flats.

A lot of people like them, but I think what all the comments are getting at is: if you don't like high tension strings, the 9050s will probably not be what you want. |

And just to add that not all basses handle high tension strings well.

I tried Thomasticks and hated the low tension so I'm biased towards higher tension I suppose, and these strings are just right for me. From the research I have done these strings are actually considered a medium tension compared to say Labellas James Jamerson set. I also have a set of 9050M's on a 51 RI, and those seem a little to stiff at times. I'm not that crazy about the 9050M's, but that could be because the basses have different neck dimensions as well as the different string gauges.

They've gotten really warm and mellow with time, and I've gotten so used to the higher tension that I have a hard time playing with strings with less tension. I'm thinking that when the time comes to switch strings I might go to the La Bella Jamersons. For me, the higher the tension the better!
