Has anyone trying this before?

I have read a lot in TB that string thru body kills flats, would it be a the same case for the 9120 Nylon Tapewound, too?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers

Those are not flats underneath that tape, they are rounds. About the only ones that are. I have used them on two body through strung basses. On my Carvin AC40 acoustic bass guitar they did not fit because the silk windings are in the nut slots. On my P-Bass they fit, but just barely past the nut. They may or may not work on your bass, I do not know.
They are very low tension and really sound good on fretless basses.
