Fender flats vs Chromes

Sign in to disble this ad
I've been using Chromes (45-100) on my PBass and Ric for quite a while and really love them. I would call them my string of choice.
I just decided to try Fender's new flat set, again in 45-100 (set# 9050L) and I got to say... if you like Chromes, give the Fenders a try.

I've heard they're both actually the same string. May be true. They're VERY similar in tension, feel, and tone. Does anyone know for sure?

They're not the same. Check out this thread: FENDER 9050CL FLATS NOW AVAILABLE AT JUST STRINGS!

I have the Fenders on my J right now and like them a lot.
