Fender Jazz/Warwick 5

I have been playing with the same strings on both my basses (Fretless Jaco 62 Jazz Bass re issue and a Warick Corvette 5 string)

I could use some opinions on what strings would be good with what bass... I know its up to me but I would like some outside information and opinions...

Thanks

What kind of music do you play? What kind of sound do you want?

Well, I play a lot of jazz with the Fender but I also play a lot of other stuff... I play a lot of Grateful Dead songs so I guess some rock too.

Its hard to say because I play a lot of different kinds of music, jazz/blues/rock n roll

The main thing is i need new strings and know nothing about them I read and searched threads in this section but I was just looking for some fresh opinions.

Well...umm i heard that jaco used rotosound strings i use them now they are nice bright strings n sound great for a few weeks after you put them on, i heard that they dnt last that long but all strings go dead after a while so uno, give them a try, i like them. even when they wear down i think they still sound pretty good but like any other strings you have to change them regularly anyway to keep the nice sound going. i use gauge 45 to 105
