what is best string gauge for a fender mustang short scale bass?

I used Pyramid Gold flatwounds on mine, and they were great. Played and sounded super.

The listed gauges were 43, 56, 70 and 96, but it was also noted that the actual gauge could vary, due to their being handmade.
