Question Fender pure nickel low output and hig tension

Sign in to disble this ad
Today i strung my bass with Fender pure nickel (Original Bass 7150) 40/100.
I was specting a lighter feel and a "greater volume" like the package say.
Now,...the tone is warm but kind weak signal and feels hard like mediums.

Is this related to "pure nickels"?
Any experience?

I think im gonna take off this

Nickel has little or no magnetic properties so the core is mostly what the magnet senses thereby lower signal levels as compared to nickel plated steel on steel core.
