After a little over a year and a half of an intense string search i have finally found THE string. I've tried labella, numerous daddario types, rotosounds, elixers, EB's, GHS, martin, ken smith etc, and the list goes on and on. I had pretty much exhausted my options and the only string i had yet to try were DR's. I recently purchased a bass from pacman and the strings that were on this bass when it shipped were the **** son. Very very flexable, expressive, longlasting, superb harmonics,... just what i was looking for. SO,... i contacted pacman and he kindly told me what type and gauge of strings were on the bass. Just to make sure, i ordered a few sets and bam, there it was, the end to my search FINALLY! You guys that are string searching have to know what type of money can be spent trying to find the right string. So it's official... i am now a proud endorser of DR sunbeams lights, gauges 120,100,80,60,40.

I need that bounce, string bending, pinch harmonics/harmonics are on a whole other level than any other string i have tried.

DRs are the best string I have found in 25+ years of playing. |

The difference was astounding, my bass sounded small and lifeless. |

| | | | I now have DR Hi Beams (45-125) on every bass I own except the Rob Allen. These are the best strings I've ever experienced for a bright, modern, funky tone... and they stay crisp exponentially longer than any other string I've every used. The very smooth, almost 'nickel feel' is just a bonus with these wonderful SS roundwounds. |

DR really has the wrap ratio and the mass to length ratio down pat as far as i can tell. I get very little string noise when sliding, (something that really suprised me considering these were fresh out of the package strings). I'm really impressed all around with the sunbeams. I just can't say enough good things about them.
