Finally Success @ BEAD

After trying and failing many times at trying to string a Fender top mount 34" scale to BEAD ( but tuned down a 1/2 step) I finally have great success. I have to say that without Circle K, it wouldnt have happened. So on my Fender Jazz , I got a new bone nut and was very careful to file it correctly for a set of :

4 String Set - Balanced Standard 142
CKS-142S4B
.142 .106 .080 .061

To some of you a .142 B string may seem huge , and does look huge, but feels great and I got used to it very quickly. Good tension at 38 lbs. (tuned to a#, 42.6 tuned to B). I am going to convert my Sunburst jazz to BEAD(down a 1/2) and try a set of .150's (42.3 lbs at Bb). Dont be afraid of a big B string. I love the feel of these "Balanced " sets. Thank you Circle K strings. You have a happy customer here.

I love the .150 B-string. I really love the .200 F#-string.

I'm a Circle K convert.

Congrats. That's the same setup I used for many years, BEAD tuned down a half step. Except I had no problems using DR LoRiders 70 - 130 on 34" scale Ibanez and BC Rich basses... until DR's B string tanked. Then I switched to LaBella HRS.

Circle K is very interesting. If it wasn't for the taper and the top load requirement, I would try 'em.
