Finally tried EXP's

and they're pretty much what I wish Elixirs were. I went to a local store that I frequent, and they've had this set of EXP170's since, like, forever. So I beat 'em down to $25 and put them on my 2-teked Jazz Bass. Sounded much better than the GHS Boomer 52's that were on there. Then I took them off the Jazz and put them on my spiffy new Peavey Millenium Std., and they sound great on that as well. They are pretty even, and the E isn't dead-sounding like it can be on a lot of nickel sets.

I'll buy 'em again.
