Fiver strings for spanning genres...

Okay so I have two basses; an OLP with a basslines pickup that I use for metal and such, and a Fender Squier MB-5 that I use for Jazz and acoustic kinda stuff....so I was wondering what strings you guys would recommend for each one; I want the OLP to be really punchy (if that's even a word) and the Squier to kinda be mellow (I think, basically two ends of the spectrum). Brands, and sizes you guys would recommend (the OLP is tuned to Drop B, and Squier is tuned to standard)

Rotosound swing 66 for the OLP and Daddarios for the squire since you want mellower for it.

When I think of metal I think od stainless steel type strings. I'd get a 5 string set and use the BEAD strings on the OLP, which would surely get a nice gnarly sort of sound that would go good with metal and its various sub-genres. I'd probably go with D'Addario Pro Steels, .50-.135.
For a mellow sound on the MB two things come to mind for me. Tapewounds (D'Addario/GHS/LaBella) or GHS Precision Flats (I prefer light gauge, but you may not).

Pressure Wounds on the OLP,

Nickel Plated Steel strings on the Squire... I like Darkstorm's recommendation as far as brand on that one...
