A fix for bad D & G strings on Fender 9050 flats?

The G string is the worst. Really twangy, dead, and harsh.
Does anyone have a fix for this?

Buy New Strings? You may just have some "lemons" on your hands, or bass rather.

Yeah, you can occassionally get some bad strings in any brand. Sometimes they've been stored incorrectly. Sometimes, they were just made incorrecty.

I use Fender flats most of the time. I got a bad "G" in a set once, a few years ago. I took it back to my dealer and he gave me a new set.
