Flat with C?

Sign in to disble this ad
I just finished defretting one of my basses and need flats, but I can't find flats with a High C for a 5 string. Any sets like this, or a 4+1 like elixir does?

I need to order them quick-i am fighting back the impulse to slap some rounds on it to try it out, but i can't ruin my fingerboard!

Thanks!

-Steve

Edit: If nobody replies with a better idea by the time I get home, I will go with a Rotosound 6 string set.

What's wrong with a set of Elixirs?

what's the gauge that's usually for a high C?

I was about to say that i used to play a guitar with Baritone strings, and the unwound high-strings were quite thick; but I realized that the scale length isn't quite the same.

good luck finding a suitable set, and congrats on the defret.

I did not think the coating would protect the fingerboard and I don't want to spent $70 on strings for one bass.

Just bought a rotosound 6 set. Will be nice if I ever want to change to a B
