Question Flat/Roundwound vs SR2000

Sign in to disble this ad
I posted earlier this week about fretless strings it after doing a bunch of reading I've been thinking.

While I love the sound of my SR2000 Mediums, The tapered string is nice for action. BUT they are really taking a toll on my fretless neck.

So I'm looking for a similar sounding string (no miracles expected) with the SR2000 piano "bong"
I'm hearing a lot about D'A Chromes and GHS Pressure Wounds and Brightflats; but honestly have not playing on an electric flatwound string since 1995 in highschool jazz band (and I HATED them then)

So - little help here
Does anyone make a tapered flat/round wound?
Any Recommendations are welcome
