Flat Wound Recommendation for Lakland USA Joe Osborne 4

Sign in to disble this ad
Hey Guys--

Just got a new Lakland US JO 4. Wanting to put flats on. I'm familiar with TI flats, have used them before.

Looking for the John Paul Jones vibe for this bass.

I'd considering Roto 77s, but my concern is that the high tension may, over time, damage the neck.

Other candidates:

Labella--gauge?
Joe Osborn Sig flats?

My main concern is the tension/neck warping issue, again, over time.

Thanks!

Andy

using "normal" gauge strings shouldn't cause any neck warping issues using "standard" tunings on a modern high quality MIA instrument, right?
