Flat wounds for a 5 String Fretless Acoustic Bass, Tenor Tuning

Sign in to disble this ad
Hello,

Did a quick search using the terms in subject line, and did not come up with any significant results.

I have a Michael Kelly Dragonfly 5 string fretless, and am interested in knowing:
  • Which flatwounds are available, AND
  • For Tenor (E-A-D-G-C) tuning.
Many thanks in advance,

HmL

You can buy Rotosound flats in sets of 4 and buy the high C as a single. Readily available from MF, among other places.

These are high tension strings. Tuning them down to DGCFBb is a good thing. Especially on an ABG.
